Technical Team

Corina Manta is part of SARA Pharm team since 2012. She is currently Technical Director at SARA Pharm Solutions, Bucharest, Romania. She received her M.Sc. degree in Advanced Separation and Purification in 2011 and defended her Ph.D in 2012 from University “Politehnica” of Bucharest, Faculty of Applied Chemistry and Materials Science, Chemical Engineering Department. Her expertise includes solid-state pharmaceuticals, optimization process and analytical techniques.

In addition, she has expertise in project management and implementation (POS CCE SARELCAT SMIS Code 45567).

Currently she is involved as Project Responsible in two projects: AMD-FARMA-MED, SMIS Code 105725 in collaboration with National Institute of Materials Physics and H2020-MSCA-RISE-2017 (CLATHROPROBES 778245).

Lucian Buhalteanu is a chemist here at SARA Pharm and he has been with us since October 2012. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from “Politehnica” University of Bucharest, specializing in Organic Chemistry. His main interests are the synthesis and characterization of metallic nanoparticles, solid-state studies (polymorph screening, salt screening, amorphous solid dispersions, co-crystal screening), optimization process and analytical method development. His competences include PXRD, TGA/DSC and others.

Dumitru Samohvalov joined SARA Pharm in January 2017. He has Master degree in Science from Moldova State University, Department of Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry, Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. Between 2013-2016, Dumitru has been Ph. D. candidate in solid-state physico-chemistry at Université de Bordeaux, Centre de Recherche Paul Pascal, Bordeaux, France. In SARA Pharm’s laboratory he is performing experiments and physico-chemical analyses which involve polymorphic transitions of small molecule drugs. His competences include SCXRD, XRPD, NMR, FT-IR, TG, DSC and other analysis techniques.

Andreea Lungan has joined SARA Pharm in April 2018 as Research Scientist. Andreea was granted two Erasmus Socrates scholarships at “Heinrich Heine” University, Dusseldorf, Germany, studying high performance macromolecular materials. In 2014 she successfully defended hed PhD thesis in Material Engineering at “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iasi, Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Environmental Protection. During her doctoral studies she collaborated with “Petru Poni” Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry, Department of Functional Polymers, working on controlled drug delivery systems.
